RDI (relationship development intervention), or guided participation, is a budding grass roots effort to equip parents or caregivers of Autistic children or adults to remediate Autism.
Most of the therapies or treatments are symptom based or prompt dependent. This is a program developed to tackle the core deficits of autism. The most immediate difference is the parent based, home and community oriented nature of the RDI program. It is neither office or therapist focused. RDI operates under the belief that the parents are the best mentors or masters for their children. The parent training portion is intense and not for the faint of heart. Parents learn to examine every part of their life and their family, and best of all, take back the rearing of their children.
If you are ready for a new direction for your family, learn about this program and see how it could bless your family.
